Integrating FEMAs Enhanced DFIRMDB Model With ESRI's Arc Hydro Data Model Track: Water Resources Author(s): Mark Aurit, Chas Crandel, Howard Davis Advancements in technology, such as the release of ArcGIS 8, the geodatabase model, and the introduction of the Arc Hydro data model will allow for the integration of GIS technology and floodplain management. The Arc Hydro data model was designed to assist hydrologic modeling and analysis through the building of hydrologic information systems. PBS&J is incorporating various data models that facilitate floodplain management into FEMAs proposed Enhanced Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map Database. This case study identifies various aspects of integrating these data models in order to facilitate the creation of a DFIRM for FEMAs National Flood Insurance Program. An Extension of Enhanced Russell Measure to deal with Interval Scale Data in DEA
Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) models with interval inputs and outputs have been rarely discussed in DEA literature. This paper, using the enhanced Russell measurement proposes an extended model which permits the presence of interval scale variables which can take both negative and positive values. The model is compared with most well-known DEA models of which include the CCR model, the BCC mo...
متن کاملA GIS-based relational data model for multi-dimensional representation of river hydrodynamics and morphodynamics
The emerging capabilities of the geo-based information systems to integrate spatial and temporal attributes of in-situ measurements is a long-waited solution to efficiently organize, visualize, and analyze the vast amount of data produced by the new generations of river instruments. This paper describes the construct of a river data model linked to a relational database that can be populated wi...
متن کاملModel and Solution Approach for Multi objective-multi commodity Capacitated Arc Routing Problem with Fuzzy Demand
The capacitated arc routing problem (CARP) is one of the most important routing problems with many applications in real world situations. In some real applications such as urban waste collection and etc., decision makers have to consider more than one objective and investigate the problem under uncertain situations where required edges have demand for more than one type of commodity. So, in thi...
متن کاملAn Intelligence-Based Model for Supplier Selection Integrating Data Envelopment Analysis and Support Vector Machine
The importance of supplier selection is nowadays highlighted more than ever as companies have realized that efficient supplier selection can significantly improve the performance of their supply chain. In this paper, an integrated model that applies Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) is developed to select efficient suppliers based on their predicted efficiency sco...
